Let’s take action for the victims!

The treaties to ban landmines and cluster munitions represent an unprecedented advance for the victims and are milestones in international humanitarian law. To ensure that these weapons are no longer a daily threat to civilians and an obstacle to the development of affected countries, Handicap International is calling on all States to:

• Join the Mine Ban Treaty and the Convention on Cluster Munitions and promote both treaties among non-signatory countries;
• Contribute resources for victim assistance and the clearance of contaminated areas without delay;
• Ban all investment in the production and trade of these weapons;
• Refrain from supporting any initiative or text which would weaken the treaties.
